If you read last week’s post, you may remember that I “discovered” this park through a friend’s invite to participate in an MS walk. The walk began at the Central Wisconsin Convention & Expo Center and followed the Cedar Creek Trail. River Street Park is where we turned around to head back to CWCE Center.
The park has a shelter, bathrooms, playground, soccer field, and ball diamond. You will also find access to another trail system.
The highlight of this playground was the sidewalk surrounding it. It made for a nice race track.
If you would rather drive instead of walking from the Cedar Creek trail, you can get there via Business 51 and turn on W Military Rd or Hewitt St.
The parking area (River St.) is near the trail access. While you’re playing, take a few minutes to check out the view from the bridge.
And maybe go for a quick walk or bike ride.
This is a short ride, but you can extend it by continuing to bike on Sunrise Dr — this Mom is not yet ready for that.
Are you enjoying this series so far? Were you familiar with these places before reading these posts?
